Getting Out Ahead of Recruitment Challenges

All, Spring is fast approaching– we have several board member positions which will be vacant after this year’s term, specifically the two that are mandatory to be filled: President (or Co-Presidents) and Treasurer. Equally vital to our work are the Secretary, Chairperson of Teacher Mini-Grants, VP of Fundraising so we can be a sustainable PTA, VP of Membership, VP of Communications, Advocacy Chair, and Awards Chairperson (and with that, we need as many hands on deck to help Margy with the 2024 Award Ceremony on May 15). As such, at the February Monthly Meeting we requested 3 volunteers to form Arlington SEPTA’s Nominating Committee that will develop a slate of new officers for next year’s SEPTA board. So if you are interested in continuing SEPTA’s work please consider VOLUNTEERING to help us. We need SEPTA to continue to play its vital role in supporting our APS parents, students, staff, educators, and administrators. Folks need to be a current, paid member of SEPTA in order to vote or be a member of committees according to our bylaws. We encourage everyone to consider whether you might know of anyone who might be willing to help out- referrals are most welcome!
