Sensory-Friendly Santa Returns December 16!

29 Nov By Maria Votsch Leave a Comment

Last December, SEPTA hosted its first “Sensory-Friendly Santa” event, specially designed to help make visiting with Santa more accessible and less stressful for children with special needs and their parents, and featuring a very special guest, former Congressman Jim Moran.  The event was a huge success, with many children meeting Santa for the first time, and many communicating their holiday wishes in whatever way they could – whether with their words, voices, assistive devices, hugs, or smiles – without feeling out of place, overstimulated, or rushed.  SEPTA is happy to announce that thanks to Congressman Moran, we will be offering the Sensory-Friendly Santa Event again this year, at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church on North Glebe Road.  Please join us for this free, festive, friendly event!  RSVP to Santa@arlingtonsepta.org to let us know you’re coming.

December 16, 2016, any time from 5:30-8 pm

Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church

1500 N. Glebe Road
