SEPTA NEEDS YOU!! – Seeking President or Co-President for next year!

Parents,

SEPTA is an all-volunteer organization. Without leadership, SEPTA will have to fold!!!!!

Please consider volunteering to be President (or Co-President!) or Treasurer for next year.  These board member terms are up after June.  We’d really like to have a ballot out by mid-May for membership to vote. SEPTA needs you!

Here is a brief description about each role:

President – Serves as chair of the Executive Committee and the Board in accordance with the Bylaws, oversees all PTA operations and budget, and presides at all meetings of the association. Represents the PTA in meetings with members, school and county administrators. Balances and advocates for the various needs of the organization, membership and APS parents, staff and students s/he represents.

Treasurer – Responsible for managing all PTA budgets and financials, through the use of good accounting and in accordance with Bylaws.

Thank you to Friederike Niepmann who has volunteered to be Secretary.  If we don’t have a President and Treasurer, SEPTA, by charter, will cease to exist.   We really don’t want that to happen.  Please consider a 2-year commitment to help all our kids & to continue SEPTA’s important work.
