Monster Mash at home while you support Arlington Public Schools teachers!
Stay home, don’t come: the SEPTA Phantom Ball is a cyber ball! Purchase your tickets here.
Proceeds from this unique, “no frills” fundraiser go toward SEPTA’s popular Mini-Grant Program.
- SEPTA mini-grants are awarded each year to APS teachers and staff working with students on an IEP or 504 plan.
- Recent recipients have orchestrated field trips to help students practice real-life skills (such as ordering at a restaurant and shopping from a list) . . . employed Lego robotics sets to get children excited about hands-on STEM learning . . . partially funded a new school-based greenhouse to help children grow and taste their own healthy food . . . and purchased “pencil grip” kits that include a variety of different occupational therapy tools to help kids struggling with handwriting see what works best.
- In past years, SEPTA mini-grants have funded a therapeutic swing, iPads, flip video cameras, field trip transportation and destination fees, Braille textbooks, math manipulatives, and much more!
- Applications have been coming in fast in anticipation of today’s deadline, and our goal is to give away a total of $3000 this year!
This is your chance to attend (or really, to NOT attend) the non-event of the season!
Thank you for your continued support of SEPTA’s programs and advocacy.
